Sky brightness. How bright the night sky is, by Bortle class, including the glow that spreads miles past a city's edge. No tint is truly dark, blue is rural, and yellow or warmer is too bright for the Milky Way.
Clouds. Forecast cloud cover for the hour you pick. Clear is see-through; white is overcast.
Parks. Dark-sky parks with their own forecast pages.
Daylight. Where the sun is up right now.
Bortle scale. 1–2 is a truly dark site where the Milky Way casts shadows; 3–4 shows it well; from 5 up it fades to nothing in cities.

Lilac dots are dark-sky parks with their own forecast pages. Browse them all on the stargazing page, or see where it's perfect tonight around the world.
